Jeremy Olander Crafts a Dark Odyssey on ‘Megatron’ EP
Jeremy Olander dives into the dark depths of melodic house and techno with his latest EP, Megatron, out now on Interstellar Recordings.
Swedish DJ producer Jeremy Olander has positioned himself as an ever-surprising delight in the melodic house and techno scene. Since breaking out as the first artist signed to Eric Prydz’s Pryda Friends imprint in 2011, he quickly became a vanguard within the electronic music scene. With a commitment to champion like-minded artists, the producer established his imprint Vivrant in 2014 and continues highlighting his distinct sound with releases on renowned labels like Bedrock, Last Night On Earth, Drumcode, Diynamic, Anjunadeep, and Watergate.
In March, Jeremy Olander dropped “Holmen” as Interstellar Recordings‘ debut release to offer listeners a glimpse into what would land on the label. Now, he’s returned to the Insomniac Music Group-owned imprint to bring a similar burst of electrifying energy with the Megatron EP, allowing the twinkling dark melodic vibes to take center stage.
This demonstrates Jeremy Olander’s incredible talent in blending melodic synths with organic soundscapes that lift listeners to epic heights. “Gygax” continues to push the envelope of melodic house with its blend of organic and electronic elements. Opening with thumping drumbeats, the track ascends to a powerful climax, sprinkled with sharp shakers and syncopated percussion to amplify the drama while making you dance.
Finally, “Fabric” rounds off the release with yet another non-stop percussive pulse. There is no dull moment in this seven-minute-long addictive track, as Olander manipulates the drum beats while staying true to his progressive style, adding a touch of muscle along the way.
