SIMON DOTY BIO:

Simon Doty’s origins from deep in Canada’s Western wilderness to a college basketball shooting guard are unlikely beginnings for the development of a finely tuned electronic artist. This sound selector and creator is a self-taught gear master ‘whiz kid’ with a profound understanding of musical composition and engineering that has earned the ear of his peers and heroes alike.

With a consistent yet dynamic signature sound defined by gritty analog synthesis, emotive melodies and tough, driving grooves; formative influences like Sasha, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Carl Cox are now counted among Simon’s most ardent supporters.

After years mastering his sound and ascending the ranks of the underground circuit, 2021 sees Doty rocking a hot hand with an arsenal of original output on leading imprints like Anjunadeep, Knee Deep in Sound and Realm. Industry icons Pete Tong and Danny Howard have taken notice with regular first plays and support on their BBC Radio 1 programs.

An increasingly coveted remixer and engineer, Simon continues to showcase an elite command of his craft and a steadfast pursuit of progress.

Simon approaches music like basketball; eschewing self promotion in favour of a quiet, laid back demeanour that lets his music (or his jump shot) do the talking.

QRION BIO:

Born and raised in the snowy city of Sapporo, Japan, and now residing in Austin, Texas, Qrion takes inspiration from the robust environments at her whim. Making her own music in high school as a hobby by using her phone, Qrion’s signature sound oozes genuine artistry. She uses the noise of the world around her to create intimate songs anchored by energetic beats and lush synth textures.

Ranging from exquisitely soft compositions to ‘90s-adjacent dancefloor numbers, Qrion delivers a versatile flair to electronic music. There’s a reason why she was named on Forbes Japan’s 30 Under 30 list: since the inception of her musical career, Qrion has become a staple on revered labels such as Anjunadeep, Last Night On Earth, Mad Decent, Ultra Music, and more. Her one-of-a-kind style has garnered support from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Pete Tong, and Sian Eleri along with industry figures Anna Lunoe, Mall Grab, Todd Edwards, and Lane 8. Beyond her compelling original productions, Qrion proves her mettle as an excellent remixer, too. She’s lent her future-focused sound to artists such as Alina Baraz, Gabriel & Dresden, Catching Flies, TOKiMONSTA, and more to elevate a variety of songs across the electronic spectrum and beyond.

Recognized by Spotify’s EQUAL Program with a billboard in New York City’s Times Square, Qrion demonstrated her meteoric rise throughout 2021: Qrion released her debut full-length record I Hope It Lasts Forever via Anjunadeep, her most breathtaking work to date. Along with the release of her single “Monolith” via Last Night On Earth, Qrion was awarded the title of DJ Mag’s 2021 Future Star and was included in Billboard’s 20 Best Dance Albums in 2021. In addition to her album, Qrion has recently taken her release schedule to the next level with remixes for Booka Shade’s “I Go, I Go” and  Röyksopp’s “Breathe,” which quickly garnered half a million streams within its first two weeks.

To commemorate her debut album, Qrion embarked on her headlining I Hope It Lasts Forever tour across North America to bring her latest sounds to over 20 cities. Since the start of her career, Qrion has supported leading acts such as Meduza, deadmau5, Ben Böhmer, Lane 8, and Porter Robinson, whom she performed two nights alongside at Red Rocks for his 2022 Nurture Live tour. Qrion set out on her first I Miss Crying In The Club tour, hitting 18 cities across North America inthe Spring of 2023.
